Shaggy’s real name is Orville Richard Burrell. He was born in Kingston, Jamaica on October 22, 1968. Shaggy was one of the most popular Jamaican artists in the 1990s. His 1992 album Pure Pleasure went platinum in the United States. Shaggy’s 1994 album Hot Shot also went platinum and was the best-selling reggae album of all time.

Buju Banton
Buju Banton is a Jamaican reggae artist who started his career in the early 1990s. He is best known for his song “Boom Bye Bye”, which is about killing gay people. Buju Banton has been accused of homophobia and he has denied these accusations. He was arrested in December 2009 on cocaine charges and he was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2011. He was released from prison in 2018.

Beenie Man
Beenie Man is a Jamaican reggae artist who has been active since the early 1990s. He is best known for his song “Who Am I”, which was a number one hit in Jamaica and the United Kingdom in 1998. Beenie Man has been accused of homophobia and he has denied these accusations.
