About Anthony B
Anthony B, born in 1976 as Keith Blair in Clarks Town, Trelawny, Jamaica, is a Jamaican reggae and dancehall artist. He started his musical career in 1996 with the release of his album “Real Revolutionaries”, which gained popularity in Jamaica and abroad.
His early life
Anthony B was born in December of 1976 in the rural parish of St. Ann, Jamaica. The second youngest of thirteen children, he was raised by his grandparents in the countryside where he experienced a childhood steeped in the Rastafarian culture and music. His grandfather, a former member of the Rastafarian Nyabinghi Order, instilled in Anthony B the importance of prayer and meditation, and his grandmother taught him herbalism and natural healing. Both of his parents were musicians, and Anthony B grew up surrounded by music. He began writing his own songs at the age of eight, and by the time he was twelve he was already appearing on stage with some of Jamaica’s top artists.
His musical career
Since he was a teenager, Anthony B has been one of the most recognizable and respected voices in Jamaican music. His career began in the early 1990s, when he recorded his first album, “Real Fire”, which was an instant hit. He has since released more than a dozen albums, including “Tear Out Di Club”, “Street Knowledge”, and “Prison Oval Rock”. He has also collaborated with some of the biggest names in reggae, including Capleton, Bounty Killer, and Sizzla.

In a career that has spanned almost two decades, Anthony B has been one of the most consistent and hard-working artistes in reggae music. His work ethic is evident in his almost 20 albums and numerous singles.
