WOCC is a non-profit, listener-supported radio station broadcasting 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. WOCC went on the air in May of 2011 and has been committed to playing classical music and opera ever since.

WOCC first went on the air in October of 2009, and has been Hartford’s go-to source for classical music and opera ever since. We are proud to feature local and national talent on our station, and to provide a forum for the discussion of classical music in our community.

-The Morning Show with Bob Maloney and Louise Aronson, featuring classical music and interviews with local and national figures in the world of opera.

-Evenings with Scott Paulson, featuring classical music and interviews with local and national figures in the world of classical music.

The Hartford classical music radio station WOCC 91.5 FM is committed to being an active and engaged part of the Greater Hartford community. We offer a variety of outreach programs designed to promote classical music and opera, and to provide educational opportunities for people of all ages.

Our outreach programs include:

• Free Concerts: We offer free concerts throughout the year featuring local and regional classical musicians. These concerts are open to the public and are held in a variety of venues, including parks, libraries, and community centers.

• Opera in the Park: Every summer, we present free operas in Bushnell Park in downtown Hartford. These performances are open to the public and are a great way to experience opera for people of all ages.

• Educational Outreach: We offer educational outreach programs for schools and community groups. These programs provide an introduction to classical music and opera, and can be tailored to meet the needs of your group.

Underwriting recognition on WOCC is provided in a non-commercial manner, without reference to price or incentive to buy, and must NOT be disparaging of other businesses. Underwriting spots are 30 seconds in length, and are aired a minimum of three times per day. Spot schedules are determined by station management and underwriters may not preempt regularly scheduled programming.
