As country music has evolved, so have the album covers. Gone are the days of simple images of cowboy hats and guitars. These days, country music album covers are just as creative and innovative as any other genre, and they often feature eye-catching artwork and creative design.

Here are some of our favorite country music album covers from the past few decades:

Shania Twain – The Woman in Me (1995)

This album cover perfectly captures Shania Twain’s signature style: fun, flirty, and fabulous. The close-up shot of Twain’s face is stunning, and her bright blue eyes seem to pop right off the page. The simple black background lets Twain’s beauty shine through, making this one of our all-time favorite country music album covers.

Dixie Chicks – Home (2002)

The Dixie Chicks’ sixth studio album was released shortly after the 9/11 attacks, and it features a beautiful bluebird flying over New York City. The image is both patriotic and hopeful, and it perfectly reflects the mood of America at that time. This is one of those rare album covers that is both visually stunning and deeply meaningful.

Garth Brooks – Scarecrow (2001)

Garth Brooks’ thirteenth studio album features a very unique cover: a close-up shot of Brooks’ face… made out of straw! It’s a creepy but clever image that perfectly represents the theme of the album, which is about people who have been “scared” by love. This is definitely one of the most unusual but also one of the most memorable country music album covers ever made.

Kenny Chesney – Be as You Are (2005)

This album cover by Kenny Chesney is simplicity at its finest. Chesney is pictured standing in front of a white picket fence, with a blue sky behind him. There’s something about this image that just oozes peace and tranquility, making it one another one of our favorites.
