The top winners of the 2015 Country Music Awards were revealed last night. Here’s a complete list of the artists who took home top honors.
Entertainer of the Year
The Entertainer of the Year award is one of the most prestigious awards given out at the Country Music Awards. The award is given to an artist who has made a significant impact in the country music industry over the course of the year. This year, the award went to none other than Keith Urban.
Keith Urban is a country music singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Australia. He has been active in the country music scene since 1991 and has released a total of nine studio albums. His most recent album, Ripcord, was released in May of 2016 and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart.
Over the course of his career, Keith Urban has won numerous awards, including four Grammy Awards and fourteen Academy of Country Music Awards. He is also a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
Male Vocalist of the Year
The Male Vocalist of the Year Awards went to Jason Aldean. This was his sixth time winning this award.
Female Vocalist of the Year
The Winner of the 2015 Country Music Award for Female Vocalist of the Year is Miranda Lambert!
Miranda Lambert is an American country music singer and songwriter. She started her musical career writing songs for other artists, but soon began performing her own songs. Her debut album, Kerosene, was released in 2005 and reached Platinum status in the United States. Lambert has won many awards, including Female Vocalist of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards five times and Female Vocalist of the Year at the Country Music Association Awards three times.
Vocal Duo of the Year
The Vocal Duo of the Year award went to Florida Georgia Line for the third straight year. The other nominees in this category were Brothers Osborne, Joey + Rory, Maddie & Tae, and Sugarland.
Vocal Group of the Year
The Winners of the 2015 Country Music Awards are The Band Perry, Little Big Town, Zac Brown Band, Eli Young Band, and Florida Georgia Line.
New Artist of the Year
The successful artists who are taking home the New Artist of the Year award at the 2015 Country Music Awards are Sam Hunt, Chris Stapleton, and Thomas Rhett. All three artists have released monster hits in the past year and have earned a place in the hearts of country music fans everywhere. Be sure to check out their music if you haven’t already!
Album of the Year
The album of the year award goes to the artist, the producer, the recording engineer and the mastering engineer for their creative contributions to the overall project.
This award is presented to the album that contains at least 51% playing time of new recordings.

Song of the Year
The Song of the Year award goes to the person who wrote the song, not the person who recorded it. In other words, if Taylor Swift had released “Girl Crush” as her own single, she would have been eligible for this award. So congrats to Little Big Town, who took home the big prize!
Musical Event of the Year
The Winners of the 2015 Country Music Awards were announced on Sunday, November 1st. The Musical Event of the Year was awarded to Eric Church and Keith Urban for their duet “Raise ‘Em Up”. Church and Urban beat out some tough competition including Blake Shelton and Ashley Monroe, Florida Georgia Line and Zac Brown Band, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, and Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert.
