-Kris Kristofferson
– Willie Nelson
– Dolly Parton
– Reba McEntire
– Garth Brooks

Each year, the Country Music Association (CMA) selects a group of artists to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. This is a prestigious honor that is reserved for those who have made significant contributions to the genre of country music. The 2021 nominees were announced on September 1, 2020, and the list includes some of the most iconic names in country music.

The Best of the Best

The Country Music Hall of Fame 2021 is a collection of the greatest country music hits of all time. This year’s collection includes songs from some of the most iconic country artists, including Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, and Willie Nelson. These songs have been carefully selected by a panel of country music experts and are sure to get your toes tapping.

George Strait

George Strait is an American country music singer, songwriter, actor, and music producer. George Strait was born on May 18, 1952, in Poteet, Texas. He is known for his traditional country music and for his popularity. George Strait has sold more than 100 million records and has had 60 number-one hits on the Billboard country charts. He is also a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Garth Brooks

Garth Brooks is an American country music singer-songwriter. His eponymous first album was released in 1989 and peaked at number 2 in the US country album chart while climbing to number 13 on the Billboard 200 album chart. Brooks’s integration of rock elements into his recordings and live performances has earned him immense popularity in the United States. This crossover appeal helped lead to his recording of “Friends in Low Places”, which topped both the country singles and pop singles charts after its release in 1990.

Alan Jackson

Alan Jackson is an American singer, songwriter, and musician, with a career spanning over 30 years. He is known for his traditional country style and for writing and performing some of the most popular and well-known country songs of all time. Jackson has released 16 studio albums, 3 greatest hits albums, 2 Christmas albums, 1 live album, and 1 album of gospel hymns. He has sold over 80 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling artists of all time. In addition to his many awards in the country music field, he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2017.

Brooks & Dunn

Brooks & Dunn is an American country music duo consisting of Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn. They were both vocalists and songwriters, with Brooks also serving as the duo’s guitarist and Dunn as bass guitarist. The duo’s sound was defined by its blend of commercial honky-tonk and heartland rock influences. Although often pigeonholed as neotraditionalists during their initial run in the mid-1990s, Brooks & Dunn’s songs also incorporated elements of country-rock, honky tonk-blues, pop and rockabilly.

The duo recorded 12 studio albums between 1991 and 2015, charting at number one on the Billboard 200 eight times. Their studio albums accounted for 25 chart singles, of which 20 reached number one: 17 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart between 1991 and 2009 (sometimes tied with George Strait for the most number-one hits during that time period) – a record for the most consecutive years with a number one song – two on the Billboard Hot 100, and one each on the Adult Contemporary and Mainstream Rock charts. In 2009 they were named entertainers of the year by both the Academy of Country Music (ACM) and Country Music Association (CMA), making them only the third duo to achieve this feat in CMA history after Sonny James & Dottie West in 1970 and Thorn Birds in 1983.

They have sold more than 30 million records worldwide throughout their career. In 2020 they were inducted into both The Country Music Hall of Fame and The Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Kenny Chesney

Nominations for the Country Music Hall of Fame are usually well-deserved, but this year’s list of nominees is exceptional. The nominees for 2021 include three artists who have been previously inducted—Kenny Chesney, Ronnie Milsap, and Mac Wiseman—as well as first-time nominee Ray Stevens. All four nominees have had successful careers in country music, and all four are deserving of this honor.

Kenny Chesney is one of the most successful country artists of all time. He has released 20 albums, including 17 that have been certified gold or higher by the RIAA. He has also won five Academy of Country Music Awards and six Country Music Association Awards. In addition to his commercial success, Chesney is also renowned for his live performances, which are known for their high energy and party atmosphere.

Ronnie Milsap is a singer and songwriter who has been a mainstay in country music for over five decades. He has released 40 albums, including eight that have reached #1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart. Milsap has also won six Grammy Awards and eight Country Music Association Awards. In addition to his success as a recording artist, Milsap is also an accomplished performer, having played shows with some of the biggest names in country music history, including Hank Williams Jr., Merle Haggard, and George Jones.

Mac Wiseman is a bluegrass singer and songwriter who was one of the founding members of the Country Music Association. He has released 37 albums, including 16 that have reached #1 on the Billboard Bluegrass Albums chart. Wiseman has also won two Grammy Awards and nine International Bluegrass Music Awards. In addition to his success as a recording artist, Wiseman is also an accomplished songwriter, having penned such classics as “The Wandering Boy” and “I Saw the Light” (which was later popularized by Hank Williams).
