Electric Daisy Carnival, commonly known as EDC, is an annual electronic dance music festival that takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada. The festival is produced by Insomniac Events and features a wide variety of electronic music genres including house, techno, trance, drum and bass, and more.
EDC Las Vegas is one of the largest electronic dance music festivals in the world, with over 400,000 people in attendance each year. The festival spans three days and features over 200 DJs and live performers.
Creamfields
Creamfields is an annual electronic dance music festival held in the United Kingdom, originally on August Bank Holiday weekend in the town of Winchester, but since 2006 it has been held at Daresbury Estate, near Halton, Cheshire. The four-day event consists of concerts and DJ sets staged inside tents and other structures, with the main stages being outdoors.
Formerly a two-day event, Creamfields was expanded to three days in 2005 and then to four days in 2006. The first Creamfields took place on 26 August 1998. The festival was founded by James Barton, who later became president of Live Nation’s electronic division.
Creamfields is one of the biggest electronic music festivals in the world, typically attracting around 70,000 people each year. The festival is also notable for its bespoke stage designs. In 2008, for example, the main stage was an imitation of a church complete with a clergyman presiding over proceedings.
In 2017, the festival will take place from 24–27 August over four days.
Mysteryland
Mysteryland is an annual electronic music festival that began in the Netherlands in 1993. The event is organized by ID&T, and was brought to the United States in 2014. Mysteryland US was held at Bethelwoods Center for the Arts, the site of the original Woodstock festival, in Bethel, New York. The festival is currently the only electronic music festival in North America that is a part of ID&T’s global network of events.
