The album was moderately successful, peaking at number thirty-three on the Billboard Country Albums chart. A second album, You Again, was released in 1985 and produced two more charting singles: “Just in Case” and “You Again.”
The Forester Sisters continued to release albums throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s on Warner Bros., as well as a greatest hits album and a Christmas album. They also appeared on several television programs during this time, including The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson and Hee Haw. In 1992, the group won a Grammy Award for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for their cover of Paul Overstreet’s song “I Know Where I Stand.”
The Foresters left Warner Bros. Records in 1993 and released two albums on Curb Records: Where We Stand (1993) and Only Love Can… (1995). These albums did not achieve commercial success, however, and the sisters left Curb shortly afterwards. In 2000, they released an album of gospel music entitled Prayin’ for Sunshine on Hymn House Records. This was followed by another gospel album, Faithful Friends (2002).
After a fifteen-year recording hiatus, the Forester Sisters returned with a new album entitled Trunk Full of Hits (2017). The album featured newly recorded versions of some of the group’s most popular songs from throughout their career.
