This list includes both established artists who have released great new music this year, as well as up-and-coming artists who are making a name for themselves in the reggae world.

Buju Banton: One of the most popular and well-known reggae artists of all time, Buju Banton made his long-awaited return to the music scene this year with his first album in over 10 years. “Long Walk to Freedom” is a masterpiece, and Buju’s voice sounds as good as ever. If you’re a fan of classic reggae, this is an album you shouldn’t miss.
Busy Signal: Another veteran artist who released a great album this year is Busy Signal. His fifth studio album “Reggae Music Again” is packed with catchy tunes and features guest appearances from Damian Marley and Bounty Killer. It’s one of the most enjoyable reggae albums we’ve heard in recent memory.
Chronixx: chronologyOne of the breakout stars of 2015, Chronixx burst onto the scene with his debut album “Chronology”. The album was nominated for Best Reggae Album at this year’s Grammy Awards, and it’s easy to see why. With its mix of classic roots reggae and modern dancehall, “Chronology” is an essential listen for any fan of Jamaican music.
Protoje: Another artist who was nominated for a Grammy this year is Protoje, whose third studio album “Ancient Future” was up for Best Reggae Album. Protoje is one of the leaders of Jamaica’s “reggae revival” movement, and “Ancient Future�� is a perfect introduction to his unique brand of reggae/dancehall fusion.

Reggae music has been blowing up lately, with a new wave of artists bringing the genre to the mainstream. Here are some of the best new reggae artists of 2015.
Bob Marley’s grandson, Skip, is continuing his grandfather’s legacy with his own unique sound. His debut album, Lifesigns, was released earlier this year to critical acclaim.
Another artist carrying on the tradition is J Boog. His latest album, Backyard Boogie, topped the reggae charts and earned him a Grammy nomination.
There’s also Protoje, who just released his sophomore album, Ancient Future. The album has been praised for its socially conscious lyrics and Protoje has been hailed as one of the leaders of the new generation of reggae artists.
Last but not least is Chronixx. His debut album, Dread & Terrible, was released this year to much fanfare. He’s been described as a “reggae revivalist” and is helping to bring the genre to a new audience.
