Best Artist

The Gospel Music Choice Awards was created to recognize the outstanding achievement in Gospel music. This award is given to the artist who has shown excellence in both artistic and commercial success.

Best Male Artist

The Gospel Music Choice Awards are given out annually to recognize the top artists in the industry. Awards are given in a variety of categories, including Best Male Artist. This award is given to an artist who has released an outstanding album or body of work during the eligibility period.

Best Female Artist

The GMA Dove Awards is an annual awards show celebrating the achievements and accomplishments of Christian and Gospel music artists. The awards are presented by the Gospel Music Association (GMA).

Kirk Franklin- Kirk Franklin is an American gospel musician, songwriter, record producer, film producer, and television producer. He is known for leading urban contemporary gospel choirs such as The Family, God’s Property and One Nation Crew (1NC), and has won multiple awards, including twelve Grammy Awards.

Jonathan McReynolds- Jonathan McReynolds is an American gospel singer, songwriter, music producer and multi-instrumentalist from Chicago, Illinois. He is signed to VaShawn Mitchell’s label Motown Gospel. In 2014 he released his first album entitled Life Music which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart.

Tamela Mann- Tamela Jernell Mann is an American gospel singer and actress. She began her career as a lead singer in the gospel group Kirk Franklin and the Family. In 2009, she released her solo debut album,’Gonna Love You Forever’. The album topped the US Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart and Mann became the first artist in history to have seven songs on the Hot Gospel Songs chart simultaneously.

Jekalyn Carr is a twenty-three-year-old singer, songwriter, and motivational speaker from Memphis, Tennessee. She began her musical career at the age of thirteen, when she released her first album, Called to Be. Since then, she has released three more albums: Greater is Coming (2014), The Life Project (2016), and “You Will Win” (2018).

In addition to her work as a recording artist, Jekalyn Carr is also an accomplished author. She has written two books: You Will Win!: Iantha Turner Dies Today; A Day That Heaven Cried (2017) and Greater: Getting Ahead by Giving God the Glory (2018).

Jekalyn Carr is a gifted young woman with a bright future ahead of her. We are excited to see what she will do next!
