House music is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in the 1980s. It was created by DJs and music producers from Chicago. CamelPhat

CamelPhat is a British electronic music duo consisting of producer Dave Whelan and DJ Mike Di Scala. Originating from Liverpool, the duo are currently based in Manchester. They have been producing and DJing together since 2006 and have released on numerous labels including Skint, Fatboy Slim’s Southern Fried Records, Cr2 Records, Defected Records, and Ultra Music.

The duo’s track “Cola” won the Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards.

Claptone

Claptone is a German DJ and music producer. His music career began in the early 1990s as a club DJ. In 2000, he co-founded the record label Exploited Ghetto with his friend, DJ and producer A-Trak. The label was home to many influential artists such as Kid Cudi, RJD2, and Lupe Fiasco. In 2012, Claptone released his debut album, Cream, on Exploited Records. The album was well-received by critics and led to Claptone’s subsequent rise to fame.

Since then, Claptone has released two more studio albums, Charmer (2014) and Fantasma (2017), both of which received critical acclaim. He has also remixed tracks for a variety of artists, including Beyoncé, Lana Del Rey, Tove Lo, hundreds more. In 2019, Claptone was ranked #22 on Dj Mag’s Top 100 DJs list. He is widely considered one of the best house music producers of all time.

Disclosure

Disclosure is a British house music duo consisting of brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence. The siblings grew up in Reigate, Surrey and began creating music together in 2010. In 2013, they released their debut album, Settle, which topped the UK charts and received a Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album. The follow-up album, Caracal, was released in 2015 and also topped the UK charts. Disclosure’s music has been described as “deeply soulful” and “infectiously funky”, combining elements of house, garage, R&B, and pop.

Disclosure has headlined several major music festivals, including Coachella, Glastonbury, and Lollapalooza. In 2020, they were named one of BBC’s “Sounds of the Year”.

Hot Since 82

Hot Since 82, AKA Daley Padley, is a British DJ and producer who specializes in deep house music. He got his start in the early 2010s, when he released a series of well-received EPs on the labels Nofitstate and Moda Black. In 2012, he founded his own label, Knee Deep in Sound, which has served as a platform for both up-and-coming and established DJs and producers. His 2013 track “Hallelujah” was a huge hit, and he has since released several more singles and EPs that have been widely acclaimed by fans and critics alike. He has also remixed tracks for major artists like Lana Del Rey, The xx, and Depeche Mode.

2020 has been a great year for house music, with a number of new and exciting bands emerging on the scene. Here are some of the best house music bands of 2020 that you should keep an eye on.

Solardo

Solardo is a Manchester-based house music duo, consisting of DJs and producers Mark Richards and James Elliot. The duo has been producing music together since 2013, and in that time have released a number of singles and EPs on various record labels. They are best known for their 2018 track “Tango Wango”, which was a hit in the UK and Europe.

Richards and Elliot met while attending the same secondary school in Manchester. They both had an interest in electronic music, and soon began DJing and producing music together. In 2013, they released their first track, “Get Down”, on the label MadTech Records. Since then, they have gone on to release music on a number of different labels, including Kaluki Music, Hot Creations,Toolroom, and Elrow Music.

Solardo’s music is characterized by a deep, funky bassline and current club-friendly sound. The duo has been praised for their ability to produce tracks that are both danceable and melodic. In 2018, they were nominated for Best Breakthrough Act at the DJ Awards.

So far in 2020, Solardo has released two singles, “XTC” and “Aphrodite”. They are currently working on their debut album, which is due to be released later this year.

Will Clarke

Will Clarke is a DJ and producer from Bristol, England. He is known for his work with Dirtybird Records. His music is a mix of deep house, techno, and minimal techno. He has released two albums, “The One” and “I Love You Will Clarke”.

Mat.Joe

Mat.Joe is a German house music duo made up of Matthias Meyer and Johannes Brecht. They are best known for their singles “Nighthawk” and “Make A Living”, both of which charted in the Top 10 of Beatport’s House chart.
