Hailing from Manchester, England, The 1975 is an indie pop rock band that has been making waves since their formation in 2002. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Matthew Healy, bassist Ross MacDonald, drummer George Daniel, and keyboardist Adam Hann.
The 1975 first gained attention with the release of their self-titled debut album in 2013. The album entered the UK Albums Chart at number one and included the singles “Chocolate” and “Girls”. The band’s second album, “I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It”, was released in 2016 and once again topped the UK Albums Chart. It included the hit singles “Love Me” and “Somebody Else”.
