What are they doing?

The class of 1993 was an impressive one for the Lake Forest College Opera program. Not only did they have a large number of students, but they also had a very talented and varied group. So what have they been up to in the years since graduation?

Several members of the class have gone on to have very successful careers in music. John Adams, for example, is now a well-known opera singer who has performed all over the world. Other members of the class have gone on to teach music or work in other music-related fields.

But it’s not all about career success. Several members of the class have also kept up their love of music by performing in community theater productions or singing in local choirs. And some have even gone on to start their own bands!

So whatever they’re doing, it’s clear that the members of the Lake Forest College Opera Music Class of 1993 are still making beautiful music together.

The opera music class

It was the opera music class of 1993 at Lake Forest College. In that class, students were not only learning about music, but also about the meaning of life. The class was about more than just music, it was about finding your passion and living your life to the fullest.

What was it like?

In 1993, a class called “Opera Music” was offered at Lake Forest College. The course was an introduction to opera, and it was taught by Dr. Joan Steck Simms. It met once a week for three hours, and there were twelve students in the class.

The class began with a discussion of what opera is, and then they listened to excerpts from different operas. They talked about the music, the story, and the characters. They also watched videos of different productions of opera.

At the end of the course, each student had to choose an opera and write a paper about it. They also had to give a presentation about their chosen opera to the class.

The class was enjoyable for all who took it. It was a great way to learn about opera, and it was also a lot of fun.

What did it teach?

The class was very small, meeting only once a week for a couple of hours. It was taught by Marjorie Lawrence, an accomplished singer and teacher who had retired from her career as an opera star. The focus of the class was on developing a love and appreciation for opera music, and we spent a lot of time listening to and discussing recordings of famous operas. We also learned about the history of opera, and the different styles of singing that are used in different types of opera. By the end of the class, we had developed a strong appreciation for this beautiful art form.

The legacy of the class of 1993

It has been almost thirty years since the class of 1993 graduated from Lake Forest College, and the impact they had on the world of opera music is still being felt today. These graduates were some of the most talented young opera singers of their generation, and they went on to have successful careers on the stage and in the studio. Many of them are still active in the opera world today, and their legacy continues to inspire new generations of singers.
