The Colombian reggaeton artist is followed by Bad Bunny and Jhay Cortez with eight nods each. Ozuna, Anuel AA, Daddy Yankee, Luis Fonsi, Rosalía and Sebastián Yatra each earned six nods.
This marks the first time in Latin Music Awards history that three artists have been nominated in the top category of song of the year. In addition to “Tusa,” the songs vying for the title are Bad Bunny’s “Dakiti” with Jhay Cortez and Ozuna’s “Te Soñé De Nuevo.”
The Latin Music Awards will take place on April 15 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Univision.

Born in Medellín, Colombia, Karol G made her musical debut in 2008 with the song “Culpables.” She has since released several successful albums and singles, including “Mi Cama” and “Tusa,” which topped the Billboard Latin charts. In 2020, she collaborated with Anuel AA on the song “China,” which became a global hit.
Other artists nominated for multiple awards at the LMAs 2021 include Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Ozuna and Romeo Santos. The awards ceremony will take place on April 21st.
