Raoul, Vicomte de Chagny
Raoul, Vicomte de Chagny, is the love interest of Christine Daaé and one of the main characters in Gaston Leroux’s novel, The Phantom of the Opera. Raoul is a young, rich aristocrat who falls in love with Christine when she is a singer at the Paris Opéra House. He eventually helps her to escape from the clutches of the Phantom.

“The Phantom of the Opera” is probably the most well-known song from the musical, and it is also one of the most beautiful. The melody is so touching and emotive, and it really conveys the angst and pain that the phantom is feeling. When you hear this song, you can’t help but feel sympathetic towards him, even though he has done some terrible things.
