Ziggy Marley
David Nesta “Ziggy” Marley (born October 17, 1968) is a Jamaican musician and leader of the band Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers, and the eldest son of reggae icon Bob Marley. He is also a multiple Grammy award winner.
Some of Ziggy’s notable songs include “Tumblin’ Down”, “Tomorrow People”, “Beach in Hawaii”, “True to Myself”, and “Black My Story (Who Will Tell It?)”. His album, Conscious Party, received the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album in 1990.
In July 2011, Ziggy was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame along with his father and The Wailers for their 1977 album Exodus.
Stephen Marley
Stephen Marley is a reggae artist from Jamaica who has won eight Grammy Awards for his work. Stephen’s father is the legendary Bob Marley, and his older brother is Ziggy Marley. Stephen began his career as a member of the Ziggy Marley & The Melody Makers, which released its debut album in 1988. He has since released seven solo albums, the most recent being 2019’s “Revelation Part II: The Fruit of Life.” Stephen is also a producer and has worked on albums by Damian “Junior Gong” Marley, Wale, and Nas, among others.
Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley
Jr. Gong is the youngest son of reggae icon Bob Marley, and he has definitely made a name for himself in the music industry. He has won three Grammy Awards, including one for Best Reggae Album, and he is known for his unique blend of reggae, hip-hop, and R&B. His hits include “Welcome to Jamrock,” “Beautiful,” and “All Night.”
Buju Banton
Buju Banton is a Jamaican reggae singer who was highly influential in the development of dancehall. He rose to prominence in the early 1990s with a series of hits that helped to shape the character of the genre. He has been convicted of drug charges and is currently serving a ten-year prison sentence.
Bounty Killer
Regarded as one of the most prolific and skilled dancehall artists of all time, Bounty Killer was born in Kingston, Jamaica in 1972. His stage name was inspired by the characters in the film ‘The Killer’. Bounty Killer began his music career in the early 1990s and has since released 9 studio albums. He is best known for his singles ‘Smile’, ‘ Sufferer’ and ‘How We Do It’.
