Seattle Symphony

From Beethoven to Bach, Seattle Symphony offers a world-class experience for lovers of classical music. Located in the heart of downtown Seattle, the Symphony perform in the acoustically superb Benaroya Hall. Under the baton of Music Director Ludovic Morlot since 2011, the Symphony is celebrated for its innovative programming and powerful live performances.

Tickets

If you’re looking for something to do in Seattle, a visit to the Seattle Symphony is a great idea. The Symphony provides a wide range of classical music concerts, from solo recitals to full orchestra performances, throughout the year. You can purchase tickets for individual concerts or for a season pass.

The Symphony also offers a number of special events and educational programs. Special events include pre-concert lectures, post-concert discussions, and backstage tours. Educational programs include family concerts, student matinees, and workshops for teachers.

Location

The Seattle Symphony is located in downtown Seattle, at the corner ofThird Avenue and Union Street. The main entrance to Benaroya Hall is on Union Street, between Second and Third Avenues.

Seattle Opera

Seattle Opera is an American opera company based in Seattle, Washington. It was founded in 1963 by Gae Aulenti and Richard Pearce. The company’s first production was Puccini’s La Bohème, which was staged at the Moore Theatre.

Schedule

Seattle Opera’s 2018/19 season features four mainstage productions:

“La Bohème” by Giacomo Puccini (September 8 – 29, 2018)
“Madama Butterfly” by Giacomo Puccini (January 19 – February 9, 2019)
“Macbeth” by Giuseppe Verdi (March 9 – 30, 2019)
“Tosca” by Giacomo Puccini (April 27 – May 19, 2019)

In addition to the mainstage productions, Seattle Opera will present three special events:

The Ring Cycle Part III & IV – “Siegfried” and “Götterdämmerung” by Richard Wagner (January 5 & 6, 2019)
Verdi’s Requiem with the Seattle Symphony (February 22 – 23, 2019)
Opera Undressed – A Cosmopolitan Evening with Songs and Arias (March 2, 2019)

Whether you’re a first-time opera goer or a seasoned veteran, we have many ways to help you get involved with the Seattle Opera community and enjoy world-class performances.

Individual tickets for all productions go on sale in late summer. Through our Handel standards program, we offer heavily discounted rates for students and seniors as well as 25 & Under patrons for all of our Handel productions.

Pacific Northwest Ballet

The ballet company of the Pacific Northwest, the Pacific Northwest Ballet (PNB) was founded in 1972 by Richard Foreman and Kent Stowell. Located in Seattle, Washington, PNB is home to a company of nearly 50 dancers and an orchestra of over 50 musicians. The company presents more than 200 performances each year of classical ballets, such as The Nutcracker, as well as contemporary pieces.
