Early life
DJ Snake was born on 13 March 1986 in Paris, France. His real name is William Sami Étienne Grigahcine. He reviewed classical and jazz piano at a young age, and later experimented with DJing during his teenage years. When he was only 16 years old, he started organizing illegal rave parties in France. He was eventually caught by the police and spent two weeks in jail.

Early life
Sonny John Moore was born in North Hollywood, Los Angeles, on January 15, 1988, to a Mormon family. He was raised in Northeast Los Angeles. As a child, Moore would listen to and draw inspiration from the experimental sounds of Aphex Twin and Squarepusher. At the age of 2, he suffered from seizures which caused developmental damage to his temporal lobe. After seeing DJ Donkey Kong playing records at a club called The Site in Los Angeles, he developed an interest in music production at the age of 12. In 2004, he worked with VP Records as a recording engineer. In 2006 he joined Warp Records’ reissue imprint Noize recordings under the alias “Skrillex”.
