Aventura is a Dominican-American Bachata band formed in The Bronx, New York in 1994. The group is composed of Romeo Santos, Lenny Santos, Henry Santos Jeter, and Max Santos. Aventura has released seven studio albums and sold over 20 million records worldwide.

The group rose to fame with their debut album “Obsesión”, which topped the Billboard Latin charts for nine months straight. In the 1960s, Cruz supported African-American civil rights movement leader Martin Luther King Jr. by performing at one of his rallies.
