Aventura went on to release several successful albums until their split in 2011.

As a solo artist, Santos has released three albums, Formula Vol. 1 (2011), Formula Vol. 2 (2014) and Golden (2017). All three albums topped the US Billboard Top Latin Albums chart upon their release and reached number one on the US Billboard 200, making Santos the first Latin artist in history to achieve that feat with three consecutive albums. Throughout his career, Santos has received numerous accolades, including five Grammy Awards and 15 Latin Grammy Awards.

Aventura

Aventura is a Dominican-American Bachata band formed in The Bronx, New York in 1994. The group is composed of Romeo Santos, Lenny Santos, Henry Santos Jeter, and Max Santos. Aventura has released seven studio albums and sold over 20 million records worldwide.

The group rose to fame with their debut album “Obsesión”, which topped the Billboard Latin charts for nine months straight. Their follow-up album “We Broke the Rules” is also one of their most successful albums to date, selling over two million copies worldwide. Some of Aventura’s other hit songs include “Cuando volverás”, “el malo”, and “Enseñame a olvidar”.

Aventura has won numerous awards throughout their career, including three Latin Grammy Awards and five Premios Juventud Awards. They were also nominated for eight Billboard Music Awards, winning four of them. In 2009, they received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Salsa

Reggae en Espanol, or Latin reggae, is a genre of music that mergerd Reggae with traditional Latin American styles. The result is a lively, often Afro-Caribbean sounding beat that is perfect for dancing. While the style is not as well known as other Latin genres, it has begun to gain popularity in recent years. Celia Cruz

Celia Cruz was born in Havana, Cuba on October 21, 1925. Cruz began her career singing Cuban popular music. In the 1950s, she was the lead singer of the all-female orchestra La Sonora Matancera. She later moved to Mexico where she recorded albums with Tito Puente and Javier Solis. She also appeared in a number of films. In the 1960s, Cruz supported African-American civil rights movement leader Martin Luther King Jr. by performing at one of his rallies.

Cruz’s signature song “La Vida es un Carnaval” (“Life is a Carnival”) is about celebrating life despite difficult times. The song became an unofficial anthem for Cuban exiles living in Miami after Fidel Castro came into power in Cuba in 1959. Cruz continued to perform and release albums throughout her career. She died of a brain tumor on July 16, 2003, at the age of 77.

Willie Colón is a salsa legend. He was born in New York to Puerto Rican parents and is one of the most influential figures in Latin music. His career spans over 50 years, during which he has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Celia Cruz, Rubén Blades, and Héctor Lavoe.
