The store where Dick works (and where Sally unsuccessfully tries to get a job) is located at 4th and Main Streets in downtown Los Angeles.

Harry’s Hardware:
Harry’s Hardware is actually a restaurant called Philippe The Original, located at 1001 N Alameda Street in Los Angeles. It’s famous for its “French Dipped Sandwiches” – maybe Harry should have sold those instead of hammers!

Rutherford High School:
Rutherford High School is actually Pasadena High School, located at 2925 E Sierra Madre Blvd in Pasadena, California. Some exteriors and interiors were filmed there, including the scene where Tommy gets his driver’s license.

3rd Rock from the Sun was clearly created with love – and attention to detail! The Best of 3rd Rock from the Sun: The Sets

The set for the music video was inspired by a real-life bar in New York City called The Slipper Room.

The walls are painted red, the floor is black and white checkered, and there are photos of classic Hollywood actors and actresses hanging on the walls.

In the center of the room is a large chandelier, and there is a stage at one end of the room where the band performed.

The music video was shot in one day, and the camera crew had to be very careful not to show any of the bar’s other patrons in the background.

The Best of 3rd Rock from the Sun: The Filming is a music video that was released on July 14, 1996. The video features clips from the first three seasons of the show, set to the song “3rd Rock from the Sun” by Joe Walsh.

The video was directed by Jeff Melman, and produced by Lorne Michaels and Joann Alfano. It was edited by Tom Costain.

On September 25th, 1996, 3rd Rock from the Sun: The Music Video was released on VHS and DVD. The video features all of the show’s best musical moments, including the Enterprise rap, the “Big Bang” song, the “Rock Around the Clock” number, and more.
