“Truly” is a song by American singer Lionel Richie from his second solo album, Can’t Slow Down (1983). It was written by Richie and produced by James Anthony Carmichael and Richie. The song was released as the second single from Can’t Slow Down on October 24, 1983. It peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 on December 10, 1983, becoming Richie’s second number-one single on that chart, following “Endless Love”. It remained atop the Hot 100 for three weeks and spent a total of 15 weeks within the top 40. “Truly” also peaked at number five on the Billboard Soul chart. The single’s Philadelphia Soul-influenced sound differs greatly from Richie’s previous release “All Night Long (All Night)”, which retains its 1982 timestamp with its new wave sound. At a running time of nearly five minutes, it is one of Richie’s longer singles.
The music video for “Truly” was directed by Bob Giraldi and shot in Los Angeles in autumn 1983. It features Richie being driven around Los Angeles in a Rolls-Royce Corniche convertible while singing the song. He is then shown performing with his band at what appears to be a nightclub or ballroom. The video consists primarily of close-ups of Lionel Richie with occasional views of the cityscape of Los Angeles at night.

Bill Withers- Ain’t No Sunshine
“Ain’t No Sunshine” is a song by Bill Withers from his 1971 album JUST AS I AM, produced by Booker T. Jones. The record featured musicians Donald “Duck” Dunn on bass guitar, Al Jackson, Jr. on drums and Stephen Stills on guitar. String arrangements were done by Booker T. Jones, and recorded in Memphis by engineer Terry Manning. The song was released as a single in 1971, becoming a breakthrough hit for Withers, reaching number six on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and number three on the Hot Soul Singles chart.
The song is in the key of A minor. Withers sings in a falsetto over a simple arrangement, with Willie Weeks on bass, Al Jackson Jr. on drums and Stephen Stills playing an electric guitar solo.[1] In addition to the original hit single version, live versions of “Ain’t No Sunshine” appear on Withers’ 1972 album LIVE AT CARNEGIE HALL and his 1973 album STILL BILL. An alternate studio recording appears on his 1976 greatest hits album ‘GREATEST HITS’.

The Spinners are an american Rhythm and Blues group, formed in 1954 in Detroit, Michigan. They enjoyed a string of hits during the 1970s. I’ll Be Around is a song originally recorded by The Spinners in 1972. The song was written by Thom Bell and Phil Hurtt and produced by Bell. It was the group’s first smash hit on the Motown label.
