The Black Angels are an American psychedelic rock band from Austin, Texas. The band was formed in 2004 by Alex Maas, Christian Bland, and Kyle Hunt. The Black Angels have released five studio albums, Passover (2006), Directions to See a Ghost (2008), Phosphene Dream (2010), Indigo Meadow (2013), and Death Song (2017). The band has been described as “taking the best aspects of psychedelic rock and blending them with a dark, atmospheric sound that is uniquely their own.”

The band’s debut album Passover was recorded in October and November 2005 with producer/engineer Mario Lalli and released on April 4, 2006 by Light in the Attic Records. The album cover art was designed by singer Alex Maas. Passover reached #1 on the CMJ Radio 200 chart and garnered rave reviews from magazines such as Mojo, Village Voice, Spin and Uncut. In support of the album, The Black Angels toured the United States, Europe and Australia.

The band’s current lineup consists of frontman Courtney Taylor-Taylor (lead vocals, guitar), keyboardist Zia McCabe (keyboards), guitarist Peter Holmstrom (guitar), and drummer Brent DeBoer (drums). Past members include drummer Eric Hedford and bassist Kerry “Turbo” Bowman.

The Dead Weather is a supergroup that formed in 2009. The group consists of Jack White on vocals and guitar, Alison Mosshart on vocals, Dean Fertita on guitar and keyboards, and Jack Lawrence on bass. The group’s sound has been described as “a blend of punk, garage rock, and blues.”

The group is composed of Jack White (vocals, guitar, piano), Dean Fertita (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Brendan Benson (vocals, bass) and Jack Lawerence (drums). Their debut album, Horehound, was released on July 14, 2009.

The band started when White ran into Lawrence at a bar in Nashville and asked him to play drums on a solo project he was working on with Fertita. Lawrence then brought his friends Benson and Mosshart into the fold and the foursome wrote and recorded nine tracks in just two weeks. The album was recorded entirely to analog tape and features no computers whatsoever.

The band performed live for the first time at the Lollapalooza music festival in August 2009. They released their debut album, Horehound, on July 13, 2010. Their second album, Sea of Cowards, was released on May 7th , and their third album Dodger was released on June 1st .

The Raconteurs are an American rock band formed in Detroit in 2005, featuring Jack White (vocals, guitar, piano, and drums) and Brendan Benson (vocals, guitar, and keyboards). The duo emerged from a musical collaboration between White and Benson, who had previously worked together on several songs for White’s solo debut album, Broken Boy Soldiers (2005).
