He made his first professional appearance at the age of six, playing drums on The Ed Sullivan Show.

In 1970, he graduated from high school and immediately began touring with various artists including Van Morrison, Carly Simon, Peter Frampton, and Kiss. He returned to session work in the late 1980s and early 1990s, playing drums on albums by artists such as Al Di Meola, Steve Vai, David Lee Roth, Rod Stewart, and Cher. In 1993, he reunited with Kiss for their reunion tour and appeared on their live album “Alive III”. He also played drums on Bruce Dickinson’s solo albums “Accident of Birth” (1997) and “Chemical Wedding” (1998).

Bobby has been married twice; first to Jeannie Larocque from 1977 to 1982 (with whom he has one son – Robert), and then to current wife Erika Klassen in 1992. He has three daughters – Anja (born 1985), Montana (born 1987), and Tallulah (born 1992). He currently resides in Los Angeles with his family.
