After her performance, Underwood took to Twitter to express her excitement about the show. “Had so much fun kicking off the #LatinAMAs with ‘The Fighter’! Thank you so much for having me!” she wrote.

Underwood, who is married to NFL player Mike Fisher, was one of the evening’s big winners, taking home three awards: Best New Artist, Best Pop/Rock Female Artist, and Song of the Year for her hit single “Something in the Water.” Fellow country star George Strait also won three awards, including Album of the Year for his album Love Is Everything.
Other winners included Shakira, Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan, and J Balvin.
