Folk music has seen a resurgence in popularity in recent years. If you’re a fan of this genre, you’ll be happy to know that there are several folk music tours happening in the near future. Here are some of the most anticipated folk music tours of the year.

The Avett Brothers

The Avett Brothers are hitting the road in support of their ninth studio album, True Sadness. The tour kicks off in May in Pikeville, Kentucky and will wrap up in Denver, Colorado in October. In between, the band will make stops in Atlanta, Nashville, Virginia Beach, and more.

Iron & Wine

Sam Beam, the singer and songwriter better known as Iron & Wine, has announced a series of tour dates in support of his upcoming album Beast Epic. The tour will kick off on August 3 in Brooklyn, New York and will wrap up on August 26 in Los Angeles, California.

Iron & Wine will be joined by special guest John Moreland on all dates. Moreland is a singer-songwriter from Oklahoma who released his most recent album, Big Bad Luv, earlier this year.

Bon Iver

Eau Claire, Wisconsin-based folk band Bon Iver will be touring across the United States this summer in support of their latest album, 22, A Million. The tour kicks off on July 22 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and will make stops in Chicago, Detroit, New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Atlanta, and Nashville before ending in Birmingham, Alabama on August 12.

Iron & Wine

Iron & Wine is an American folk rock band from South Carolina, consisting of singer-songwriter and guitarist Sam Beam. The band’s first album, Our Endless Numbered Days, was released in 2003 to critical acclaim. The album was followed by The Shepherd’s Dog in 2007 and Kiss Each Other Clean in 2011. All three albums have been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.

The band is currently on tour in support of their latest album, Beast Epic, which was released in August 2017. Tour dates are listed below:
