Kirk Franklin- Hello Fear
Hello Fear is the ninth studio album by American gospel musician Kirk Franklin. It was released on March 22, 2011, by Verity Records. The album features guest appearances from Mandisa, Mali Music, and Sheri Jones-Moffett.
The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, selling 96,000 copies in its first week. This became Franklin’s first number-one album on the chart, and his highest-charting album to date. The album has been certified Gold by the RIAA.
James Fortune and FIYA- Identity
James Fortune and FIYA’s album Identity was one of the best gospel albums of 2012. It reached number one on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Gospel Album. The album features the hit singles “I Believe” and “Hold On,” both of which peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot Gospel Songs chart.
Tye Tribbett- Greater Than
Tye Tribbett’s album “Greater Than” was one of the best gospel albums of 2012. James Fortune and FIYA- Hold On
Since the turn of the century, James Fortune has become one of the most popular and respected figures in Gospel music. A native of Houston, Texas, Fortune began his career as a songwriter and producer, working with some of the biggest names in the industry. In 2002, he found success as a solo artist with his debut album, I Believe, which spawned the chart-topping single “I Trust You.”
Fortune’s follow-up album, Encore, was released in 2003 and featured the hit single ” bags Later.” His third album,identity Crisis was released in 2006 to critical acclaim. The album spawned the hit singles “I Believe”and”You Brought Me Back.”
In 2012, James Fortune returned with his fourth album, FIYA (an acronym for “Faith In Your Ability”). The album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Gospel Albums chart and features the hit singles “Hold On” and “Still Able to Smile.”
James Fortune is a three-time Grammy nominee and a four-time Dove Award winner. He has also been honored with numerous other awards and accolades.
Tye Tribbett- He Turned It
Pentecostal powerhouse Tye Tribbett impressed Gospel music fans and critics with his last album, 2011’s “Greater Than,” but he really turns it up to 11 on the lead single from his forthcoming 2013 release. “He Turned It” is a high-energy roof-raiser of a track, with Tribbett’s trademark vocal gymnastics on full display as he delivers an impassioned lead vocal atop a thumping beat and an absolutely huge chorus.
