The Notorious B.I.G.

The Notorious B.I.G., also known as Biggie Smalls, was an American rapper who was murdered in a drive-by shooting in 1997. He is considered by many to be one of the greatest hip hop artists of all time. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Biggie began rapping at a young age. He first gained notoriety when he released his debut album, Ready to Die, in 1994. The album was a commercial and critical success, and made Biggie one of the most famous rappers in the world. Unfortunately, just two years later, Biggie was killed in a still-unsolved drive-by shooting. Tupac Shakur

Eminem began his career in 1996 with the release of his debut album Infinite. He gained mainstream popularity with the release of his second album The Slim Shady LP in early 1999. The album peaked at number two on the US Billboard 200 chart and was certified quadruple-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). His next two releases, 2000’s The Marshall Mathers LP and 2002’s The Eminem Show, were worldwide successes, with each being certified diamond in US sales. They were followed by Encore in 2004, another critical and commercial success.

After a period of drug addiction and recovery, Eminem released Relapse in 2009 and Recovery in 2010. These were followed by The Marshall Mathers LP 2 in 2013 and Revival in 2017.
