DJ Pierre
DJ Pierre is a French house music producer and DJ. He is best known for his role in the development of acid house music, particularly the track ” Acid Tracks,” which is widely considered to be the first acid house tune.
Pierre began his career as a hip-hop DJ in the early 1980s. He later became involved in the Chicago house scene and was a member of the infamous Chicago party crew, The Wild Pitch Club. It was through this crew that Pierre met fellow house music pioneers such as Neal Howard, Marshall Jefferson, and Farley “Jackmaster” Funk.
In 1987, Pierre and Howard released “Acid Tracks” on Trax Records. The track was an instant hit in the underground Chicago club scene and is widely considered to be the first acid house tune. It would go on to be one of the most influential tracks in dance music history.
Pierre has released numerous tracks and remixes over the years, both solo and as part of groups such as Wild Pitch and Phuture. He remains an active DJ and producer, with upcoming releases on Defected Records and Nervous Records.

DJ Spen is a Baltimore-based DJ, producer, and remixer who has been involved in the house music scene since the early 1990s. He is best known for his work with the soulful house group The musicians of Maestro’s, which he co-founded with David Morales and Karizma. In addition to his work with Maestro’s, Spen has released numerous solo productions and remixes under his own name and aliases such as “The House Moguls” and “Spen & Karizma.” He has also worked with a number of other house music artists, including Dennis Ferrer, Josh Milan, and Anane.
