Contest Details
We’re looking for talented up-and-coming music artists to create an original music video featuring the all-new 2020 Kia Soul. This is your chance to get your music out there and be seen by millions! The top prize is $10,000 and the winning video will be featured on our website and social media channels. So what are you waiting for? Submit your video today!
Eligibility
To be eligible to participate in the Contest, an individual must:
-Be a legal resident of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia;
-Be at least eighteen (18) years old or the age of majority in his/her state of primary residence, whichever is greater, as of the date of entry;
-Have a valid email address and Instagram account prior to the commencement of the Contest Period. Kia Motors America, Inc. (“KMA”) reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to verify an entrant’s email address and/or Instagram account;
-Have a parent or legal guardian execute and return, on behalf of the entrant who is a minor in his/her state of primary residence, all required releases for such minor to be legally bound by these Official Rules prior to such minor’s participation in any prize-related activity (as determined by KMA); and
-Comply with these Official Rules.
How to Enter
To enter, create a short music video (no longer than 1 minutes in length) featuring the all-new 2020 Kia Soul. Include the hashtag #KiaSoulMusicContest in your video submission. All videos must be submitted through YouTube.
You may enter as an individual or as a team (maximum of 4 people). If you are under the age of 18, you must have parental/guardian consent to enter.
Contest Period
The contest period begins on March 1, 2020 at 12:01am PST and ends on May 31, 2020 at 11:59pm PST.
Videos will be judged by a panel of music and film industry experts based on the following criteria: creativity, musicality, use of theme, quality of production and originality.
Prizes
The following prizes will be awarded to the top three video submissions:
First place: A brand new Kia Soul
Second place: A $5,000 cash prize
Third place: A $2,500 cash prize
In addition, the top ten videos will be featured on the Kia Soul website and the top 50 videos will be eligible for a public vote. The grand prize winner will be chosen by a combination of public vote and a panel of Kia judges.
