Jose Luis Rodriguez took home four awards at the Latin American Music Awards 2021, including Artist of the Year and Album of the Year. This is a huge win for the Latin music industry and for Rodriguez himself.

Jose Luis Rodriguez, who is better known as Luis Fonsi, took home four awards at the Latin American Music Awards on Thursday night.

Fonsi won both artist of the year and song of the year for “Despacito.” He also won video of the year for the song’s music video, which has been viewed more than six billion times on YouTube.

Fonsi’s fourth award was for album of the year, which he won for “Vida.”

In addition to his four wins, Fonsi was also nominated for five other awards, including touring artist of the year and favorite male artist.

The Latin American Music Awards

On Thursday, Jose Luis Rodriguez took home the award for Latin Artist of the Year at the Latin American Music Awards. The Latin American Music Awards, which recognize artists from all Spanish-speaking countries, were created in 2015 and are broadcast on the television channel Univision. Other notable winners included Ozuna, Ricky Martin, Shakira, J Balvin, Rosalia, Miguel, Camila Cabello, Ozuna, Aventura, Romeo Santos, Gloria Estefan, Marc Anthony, Becky G., Selena Gomez, and Carlos Vives.
