1. Hippocampus – “ayahuasca”
This dreamy track from the New York-based band is the perfect blend of shoegaze and indie rock, with ethereal vocals and dreamy instrumentals.
2. Sunflower Bean – “I Was Home”
The Brooklyn trio’s debut album was one of our favorites of the year, and this lead single is a perfect example of their catchy, punky sound.
3. Beach Slang – “Noisy Heaven”
Beach Slang’s raw, emotive songs have been a welcome addition to the indie rock world, and “Noisy Heaven” is one of their best.
4. Beirut – “No No No”
The long-awaited album from Zach Condon and company was well worth the wait, and “No No No” is a standout track with its anthemic horns and trademark Beirut sound.
5. Mumford & Sons – “Believe”
Mumford & Sons’ return to form on their latest album was nothing short of triumphant, and “Believe” is a soaring standout track that shows off their incredible musicianship.
