Jason Newsted, former Metallica bassist, has released his first album in 14 years. The album, titled Heavy Metal Music, is now available on Amazon. Newsted left Metallica in 2001 and has been focusing on his own music since then. This is his first album since 1999’s Jason Newsted Band.

Jason Newsted, the former bassist for Metallica, has released his first solo album in 14 years. Titled “Heavy Metal Music,” the album is available now on Amazon.
Newsted left Metallica in 2001, and has since been involved with a number of other projects, including Voivod and Echobrain. He formed his own band, Jason Newsted & The Chophouse Band, in 2013.
“Heavy Metal Music” is Newsted’s first solo album since 2000’s “Jason Newsted.” It features 11 tracks, all of which were written by Newsted. The album was recorded at his home studio in Walhalla, Michigan.

Newsted left Metallica in 2001 and formed the eponymous Jason Newsted Band. He toured and recorded with the band for a few years before putting it on hiatus in 2006. In 2013, he formed a new band called Newsted and released an EP titled Metal.
Now, Newsted is back with Heavy Metal Music, his first full-length album in over a decade. The album features 10 tracks of heavy metal goodness, including the lead single “Soldierhead”.

Newsted left Metallica in 2001 and has since been involved in a number of other musical projects. He formed the band Voivod in 2003, and released an album with them in 2013. He has also been a member of the supergroup comeback kidz, and released an album with them in 2014.
Heavy Metal Music is Newsted’s first solo album, and features performances from some of the biggest names in metal. Artists like Ozzy Osbourne, Zakk Wylde, Lemmy Kilmister, and Dave Mustaine all appear on the album.
