It was released on July 29, 2016, as the lead single from The Chainsmokers’ EP Collage (2016), and was included as the eleventh track on their debut studio album, Memories…Do Not Open (2017). “Closer” became both The Chainsmokers and Halsey’s first number-one single on the US Billboard Hot 100.

“Can’t Feel My Face” by The Weeknd

“Can’t Feel My Face” is a song performed by Canadian singer The Weeknd from his second studio album Beauty Behind the Madness (2015). The song was released on June 8, 2015 as the lead single from the album. It was written by Max Martin, Peter Svensson, Ali Payami, Savan Kotecha and Abel Tesfaye, with Payami and Svensson producing the track. “Can’t Feel My Face” peaked at number one on both the US Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100.

A piano cover of “Can’t Feel My Face” was released on YouTube on August 5, 2015 by user “pianoandre”, whose real name isAndré Baptista. The cover quickly went viral, accumulating over 3 million views in its first week.

Baptista told BuzzFeed News that he chose to cover “Can’t Feel My Face” because it’s “one of those songs that’s just impossible not to sing along to.” He also said that he wanted to put his own twist on the song by playing it on piano.

Baptista’s cover of “Can’t Feel My Face” has been praised by both The Weeknd and Max Martin. The Weeknd tweeted that Baptista’s cover was “flawless” and “amazing”, while Martin called it a “beautiful piano version”.
