Pop’n Music 15: The Best of Pop Music, commonly abbreviated as PoMu15, is a music video game by Konami. It is the fifteenth installment of the Pop’n Music series.
The game was released in Japan on June 24, 2009.

Upon release, the single was highly acclaimed by music critics, who compared it favourably to her previous work and praised the song’s lyrics and Adele’s vocal performance. Commercially, the track peaked at number one in almost every country it charted in, including the United Kingdom, where it became Adele’s sixth chart topper, breaking several records in the process. In November 2015 “Hello” became one of only three songs – along with “Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm” by Crash Test Dummies (1993) and “I Will Always Love You” by Whitney Houston (1992) – to sell over a million copies within a week of its release in Britain; sales of 1.11 million copies were registered that week. Globally, it logged 12.3 million units in its opening week (including 8.11 million downloads), behind only Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” (2015) for all-time digital sales in a week. The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” was one of the year’s most infectious pop songs, thanks in part to its disco-influenced production. The track also helped cement The Weeknd’s status as a pop star, and it’s no surprise that it was one of the year’s most successful singles.

“Hotline Bling” is a song recorded by Canadian rapper Drake, which serves as the lead single from his fourth studio album Views. The song was released on July 31, 2015, through Cash Money Records and Young Money Entertainment. “Hotline Bling”was produced by Nineteen85 and co-produced by Noah “40” Shebib. Sampling R&B artist D.R.A.M.’s hit single “Cha Cha”, the track peaked at number two on the US Billboard Hot 100 and became Drake’s highest-charting single in several countries, including Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom. It also reached number one on the Rhythmic Songs chart in the United States.
“What Do You Mean?” – Justin Bieber
“What Do You Mean?” is a song recorded by Canadian singer Justin Bieber for his fourth studio album Purpose (2015). The song was released on August 28, 2015, as the lead single from the album. The song was produced by MdL and co-produced by Bieber. It was written by Bieber, Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd and Mason Levy. A tropical house song, “What Do You Mean?” exhibits genres including dance-pop, pop and R&B. Lyrically, it features Bieber questioning a girl’s motives, asking her why she is confused about what she wants from a romantic relationship.
The song became Bieber’s first number one single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in Canada and the United States when it debuted at number one on August 29, 2015 and September 5, 2015 respectively. It also became his first number one single on the Billboard Pop Songs chart. Internationally, the single topped charts in fifteen countries including Australia, Austria, Brazil, Denmark, Finland, Germany , Ireland , Italy , Netherlands , New Zealand , Poland , Portugal , Scotland , Sweden and Switzerland .
“Sorry” – Justin Bieber
“Sorry” is a song recorded by Canadian singer and songwriter Justin Bieber for his fourth studio album, Purpose (2015). The song was released on October 23, 2015 as the second single from the album. “Sorry” was written by Bieber, Julia Michaels, Justin Tranter and Sonny Moore. Lyrically, the song is a remorseful apology for losing a good friend due to misunderstandings. The power pop track features low-end synth beats in its instrumentation and is mild in comparison to the album’s lead single “What Do You Mean?”, which brings an electro house sound. The song debuted at number two on the Billboard Hot 100, giving Bieber his sixth top-ten debut and ninth top-ten single of 2015. Worldwide, “Sorry” has sold over 10 million units becoming one of only three multi-platinum singles released this decade.
The song received critical acclaim with music critics praising its production and lyrics. At the 58th Grammy Awards, “Sorry” won the award for Best Dance Recording.
“Uptown Funk” – Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars
“Uptown Funk” is a song recorded by British record producer Mark Ronson and American singer and songwriter Bruno Mars, for Ronson’s fourth studio album, Uptown Special (2015). The song was released as the album’s lead single on 10 November 2014. “Uptown Funk” topped several music charts worldwide, including the US Billboard Hot 100, UK Singles Chart, Canadian Hot 100, Dutch Top 40 and ARIA Charts. It also reached number one in Australia, France, Ireland and New Zealand. The song won two Grammy Awards for Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
The song’s music video features a cast of celebrities includingMars, Ronson,model Naomi Campbelland actor Rosie Perez. The video also became the longest-running video on Vevo at14 weeks.
“Thinking Out Loud” – Ed Sheeran
“Thinking Out Loud” is a song by English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, recorded for his second studio album, × (2014). Written by Sheeran and produced by frequent collaborator Jake Gosling, it was released in the US on 24 September 2014 as the album’s third single. In the UK, the track entered at number one on the singles chart dated 27 September 2014 – giving Sheeran his second UK number one single – and remained there for three weeks, before being replaced by “Take Me to Church” by Hozier. In June 2015, “Thinking Out Loud” became the first single to spend a full year in the UK Top 40.

“Shut Up and Dance” – Walk the Moon
Formed in Columbus, Ohio in 2006, Walk the Moon consists of lead singer Nicholas Petricca, bassist Kevin Ray, guitarist Eli Maiman, and drummer Sean Waugaman. They gained popularity with the release of their self-titled debut album in 2010. The album’s lead single, “Anna Sun”, peaked at #10 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart and became a Top 40 hit in the US.
Their second album, TALKING IS HARD, was released in December 2014. The album’s first single “Shut Up and Dance” became a massive global hit, peaking at #1 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart and #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song also topped charts in several other countries, including Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the UK.
“I Really Like You” – Carly Rae Jepsen
Carly Rae Jepsen’s “I Really Like You” was one of the best pop songs of 2015. The song has a catchy tune and Jepsen’s vocals are top notch. The song is also very relatable and has a great message.
“See You Again” – Wiz Khalifa featuring Charlie Puth
“See You Again” is a song recorded by American rapper Wiz Khalifa, featuring American singer Charlie Puth. The track is part of the soundtrack of the 2015 action film Furious 7 and was released as a single on March 10, 2015. ”
The song was written by Puth and produced by DJ Frank E. “See You Again” became both Khalifa’s and Puth’s biggest single to date; it peaked at number one in several countries, including the United States, Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. The song held the record for the most-streamed track in a single day on Spotify in the United States until November 2015 when it was surpassed by Justin Bieber’s “Sorry”. It reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 for twelve weeks (non-consecutively), tying with Boyz II Men’s “End of the Road” (1992) for longest running hip hop number-onesingle. Additionally, it became the rap song with longest duration at number one and most weeks at number one held from a solo rapper.
Conclusion
Pop N Music 15: The Best of Pop Music was an amazing album that I would highly recommend to any fan of pop music. It had a great mix of upbeat and slower songs, and all of the tracks were extremely catchy. My personal favorite songs on the album were “Bang Bang” by Ariana Grande, “I Really Like You” by Carly Rae Jepsen, and “Sugar” by Maroon 5, but there was not a single song that I didn’t enjoy. If you are looking for a feel-good pop album to add to your collection, I cannot recommend Pop N Music 15: The Best of Pop Music enough!
