Singer Sofia Reyes took home the award for Best New Artist at the Latin American Music Awards on Thursday night.
The 22-year-old Mexican singer, who is best known for her hits “1, 2, 3” and “Deja Vu,” beat out fellow nominees Manuel Turizo, Ozuna, Christian Nodal and Sech for the honor.
Reyes’ win marks a significant milestone for the young star, who is quickly becoming one of the most popular Latin artists in the world. Her debut album, “Sofia,” was released earlier this year and has been met with critical acclaim.
