In honor of its silver anniversary, Sony Music Latin is hosting a series of events throughout the year to celebrate its achievements and the contributions of the many artists who have helped make it one of the most successful record labels in the world.
Among the events planned are a series of concerts featuring some of Sony Music Latin’s most popular artists, as well as a gala to be held in Miami later this year. Additionally, Sony Music Latin will be releasing a number of special edition albums and compilations featuring some of the label’s biggest hits, as well as new music from some of its current roster of artists.
With 25 years of success under its belt, Sony Music Latin shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Here’s to another 25 years of great music!
Sony Music Latin’s History
Sony Music Latin celebrated their 30th anniversary with a series of special events.
The label was founded in 1989, and has since gone on to release some of the biggest Latin hits in recent history. In honor of their anniversary, Sony Music Latin put together a series of events featuring some of their biggest stars.
The celebration began with a special concert featuring Gloria Estefan, Ricky Martin, and Shakira. The concert was held at the Madison Square Garden in New York City, and was broadcast live on Univision.
This was followed by a star-studded gala held at the Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles. The event featured performances by Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez, and Pitbull.
The celebration concluded with a free concert in Miami featuring Daddy Yankee and Ozuna. The concert was held at the American Airlines Arena, and was attended by over 60,000 fans.

Special Events to Celebrate Anniversary
Sony Music Latin is excited to celebrate its 35th anniversary with a series of special events! These events will be held throughout the year and will culminate with a gala celebration in November. We invite you to join us as we celebrate this milestone!
Live Concert Series
From September through November, Sony Music Latin will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a series of live concerts in Miami, Los Angeles and New York featuring some of the label’s most popular artists.
The anniversary celebration will kick off on September 1 with a free concert at the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami featuring Gloria Estefan, Ricky Martin, Shakira, Marc Anthony and Wisin & Yandel. The concert will be streamed live on www.latinconcerthd.com.
On October 11, Sony Music Latin will present “An Evening with Romeo Santos” at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The concert will be followed by a party at the nearby Conga Room, where Santos will be joined by special guests for an after-party performance.
The celebration will conclude on November 7 with a gala event at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom, where guests will enjoy performances by Carlos Vives, Miguel Bosé, Diego Torres and Natalie Cole.
