Skrillex

Sonny John Moore, better known by his stage name Skrillex, is an American record producer, DJ, and singer. He is known for his work with the dubstep and brostep genres. Skrillex has released four solo albums, one extended play, and thirty-six singles. His music has been released on several record labels, including Big Beat Records, Atlantic Records, and OWSLA.

His work with dubstep

Skrillex, whose real name is Sonny John Moore, is an American electronic dance music producer, DJ, and singer-songwriter. He rose to fame in the early 2010s with his work in the dubstep genre, particularly his track “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites.” Since then, he has released several singles and albums that have been hugely successful both commercially and critically. He has won multiple Grammy Awards and is one of the most popular DJs in the world.

His work with progressive house

Most of deadmau5’s work is associated with the genres progressive house and electro house. In an interview with MTV UK in 2009, he stated that “house music is getting a bit played out” and that he was moving towards creating progressive house tracks. He has also produced various works under sub-genre classifications such as “slip house”, a genre he described as “a cross between progressive house and techno.”

His work with other artists

Joel Zimmerman, more commonly known as deadmau5, is a Canadian electronic music producer, DJ, and musician. He first established himself in the late 2000s as a prominent figure in the development of the then-new genre of electro house. Since then, he has released seven studio albums and has worked with a variety artists including Skrillex, Kaskade, and Rob Swire.

One of deadmau5’s most notable works is his collaboration with Kaskade on the track “I Remember.” The song was originally released in 2008, but was re-released in 2013 with additional vocals from Skylar Grey. The track was a massive hit, reaching #1 on the US Dance charts and #2 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Songs chart.

In 2012, deadmau5 collaborated with another artist for the first time since “I Remember.” He worked with Wolfgang Gartner on the track “Channel 42,” which was released as part of Gartner’s album Weekend Workout. The song was another success, reaching #1 on Beatport’s Top 100 chart.

Avicii

Avicii was a Swedish DJ, remixer, and record producer. His real name is Tim Bergling. Avicii was known for his work in electronic dance music, and he had dozens of hits throughout his career. He died on April 20, 2018, at the age of 28.

Avicii was one of the most famous electronic dance music stars in the world. His work with electronic dance music, in particular, earned him a large following among EDM fans. In addition to his work as a DJ and producer, Avicii also had a successful career as a remixer. He often collaborated with other EDM artists, such as Calvin Harris and David Guetta.

Avicii’s debut studio album, True, was released in 2013. The album featured the hit singles “Wake Me Up” and “You Make Me.” True peaked at number one on the dance/electronic albums chart in the United States and United Kingdom. Avicii’s follow-up album, Stories, was released in 2015. The album included the singles “Waiting for Love” and “For a Better Day.”

Avicii tragically passed away in April 2018 at the age of 28. His death shocked and saddened the EDM community.
