The Billboard Latin Music Awards celebrates the most popular albums, songs and performers in Latin music as determined by the sales and airplay data compiled by Nielsen SoundScan and radio station monitoring service BDS.
This year’s show will be broadcast live on Telemundo on Thursday, April 24 at 7 p.m. ET/PT from the BankUnited Center at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida.
What is the Billboard Latin Music Awards?
The Billboard Latin Music Awards is an awards show that recognizes the most popular albums, songs and performers in Latin music, as determined by the sales and airplay data collected by Nielsen SoundScan and radio station playlists compiled by Nielsen BDS.
Telemundo’s partnership with the show
Telemundo announced that it will air the 2018 Billboard Latin Music Awards live on Thursday, April 26 at 8pm/7c from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The annual awards show, which honors the best in Latin music, is produced by Telemundo in partnership with Dick Clark Productions.
This will be the first time that the awards show will be broadcast live on Spanish-language television in the United States. The show will also be available to stream live on the Telemundo app and on www.telemundo.com/billboard.

Now in its 20th year, the Billboard Latin Music Awards recognize the most popular albums, songs and performers in Latin music, as determined by the actual sales, radio airplay, online streaming and social activity that reflects concert ticket sales for the eligibility period.
