Introduction

The 2015 Soul Train Music Awards was held on November 29, 2015 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show was hosted by Erykah Badu and featured performances by Wiz Khalifa, Fetty Wap, Kehlani, Ty Dolla Sign, Omarion, Sevyn Streeter and Tinashe.

Winners

The 2015 Soul Train Music Awards were held on November 29, 2015 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show was hosted by actor and comedian Anthony Anderson.

The evening featured many performances from some of today’s hottest music stars. Usher performed his new hit “No Limit,” while Ciara sang her song “Dance Like We’re Making Love.” Sampha and The Internet also took the stage, among others.

The awards show also featured tributes to some of the biggest names in soul music history. Aaliyah, Lionel Richie, and Smokey Robinson were all honored during the broadcast.

-Best New Artist: Bryson Tiller
-Song of the Year: “Earned It” by The Weeknd
-Album of the Year: To Pimp a Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar
-Best Male R&B/Soul Artist: Chris Brown
-Best Female R&B/Soul Artist: Beyoncé

Performances

The 2015 Soul Train Music Awards featured some of the biggest names in music. Among the night’s most buzzed-about performances were those by Alicia Keys, Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj, and Meghan Trainor.

Alicia Keys brought the house down with a medley of her classic hits, including “No One” and “Fallin’.” Kendrick Lamar was also a big hit with viewers, delivering an electrifying performance of his song “Alright.”

Nicki Minaj also put on a show-stopping performance, performing her new single “The Night Is Still Young.” And Meghan Trainor closed out the night with a fun and energetic performance of her smash hit “All About That Bass.”

The 2015 Soul Train Music Awards took place on November 29, 2015 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show was hosted by actor and comedian Wayne Brady and featured musical performances by CeeLo Green, Ledisi, Bobby Brown, Mario, Jeremih, Jazmine Sullivan, Tisha Campbell-Martin, and more. The awards ceremony honoring the best in R&B, soul, hip-hop, and dance music was broadcast live on BET.
