Prodigy’s music has been described as several genres, including breakbeat hardcore, rave, techno, and electronica. Their style of music uses many sampling techniques from different genres of music, which has helped them create a unique sound. The band’s music is also known for its use of time signatures that are not common in other styles of music.

The band’s debut album, Experience, was released in 1992, and it contained their famous track “Charly”, which samples a public information film from the United Kingdom about a talking cat.
