The Sirius Folk Music Club
The Sirius Folk Music Club is a group of music lovers who meet once a month to discuss and enjoy folk music. The club was formed in 2006 by a group of students at the University of Rochester and is open to anyone who loves folk music.
The club meets on the first Wednesday of every month at 7:00 pm in room 100 of the Wilson Commons on the University of Rochester campus. The meetings last for two hours, and during that time, members listen to and discuss three or four songs from a variety of genres and eras.
The club started with just ten members, but has grown steadily over the years and now has over fifty members. It is one of the largest and most active music clubs on campus, and its members come from all walks of life.

Sirius Folk Music was founded in 1977 by a group of passionate folk music fans who recognized the need for an organization dedicated to preserving and promoting this vital American art form. Sirius Folk Music is committed to keeping alive the musical traditions that have shaped our country for centuries. We do this by presenting a variety of folk music concerts, workshops, dances and educational programs throughout the year. We also maintain an extensive lending library of folk music recordings and books which are available to members free of charge.
