Bad Bunny is leading the Latin Music Awards with 22 nominations. The nominations were announced on May 4, 2021. This is the most ever for a single artist. Bad Bunny is also nominated for the Artist of the Year award.

Bad Bunny is a Puerto Rican singer, rapper, and producer. He is considered one of the leading exponents of Latin trap and reggaeton. His music is characterized by its fusion of different genres, including Latin trap, reggaeton, hip hop, and trap. He has released several successful singles, including “Soy Peor”, “Dime si te Acuerdas”, “Chambea”, “I Like It”, and “Mia”. His albums El Último Tour del Mundo and YHLQMDLG have both been certified platinum in the United States.

The “Dakiti” singer is up for nods in categories like Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Male Artist of the Year, and he’ll also be competing against himself in several races thanks to his work on both his solo album El Último Tour Del Mundo and his joint album with Jhay Cortez, La Canadiense.
Virtual duo CNCO are right behind Bad Bunny with eight nods, while Jhay Cortez and Ozuna each earned seven. Other artists with multiple nominations include Reykon, Valentino, Karol G, Ricky Martin, and Anuel AA.
In the Song of the Year category, Bad Bunny’s “Dakiti” will compete against fellow hits “Te Boté” by Nio García, Casper Mágico & Ozuna; “Tusa” by Karol G & Nicki Minaj; “Azul” by J Balvin; “Un Año” by Sech & J Balvin; and “René” by Residente.
