The Latin American Music Awards were held on October 17, 2019, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California. The show was hosted by Ricky Martin. This year’s show was broadcast live on the Telemundo network. The show was produced by Dick Clark Productions and executive produced by Mark Bracco, Larry Klein, and Jesse Cole.

The Latin American Music Awards were handed out tonight in Los Angeles, and the big winner wasbad bunny. The Puerto Rican singer won five awards, including artist of the year, best new artist and album of the year for his debut album X 100PRE.

The award for best new artist went to Chilean singer Mon Laferte. She beat out a strong field of contenders that included Mexican singer Alex Cuba, Puerto Rican reggaeton artist Bad Bunny, and Colombian singers Kali Uchis and Lary over.
Best urban fusion/performance
This year’s Latin Grammy Awards were held on November 19 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the big winner in the urban fusion/performance category was J Balvin for his song “Mi Gente.” This is the Colombian artist’s first Latin Grammy win, and he was also nominated in the best reggaeton performance category.
