So sit back, turn up the volume, and allow yourself to be transported into our dark and twisted world.

The Process of Making the Music Video

I wanted to make a music video that would be unique and would stand out from the rest. I had the idea to use clay animations and lip sync them to dark heavy metal music. I had never seen this done before, and I thought it would be a cool idea. I went through the process of making the music video step by step.

The Concept

The concept of the music video is to have clay animations lip syncing to dark heavy metal music. The clay animations will be of different monsters, demons, and creatures that are dark and menacing. The video will be dark and moody, with the clay animations being the only source of light. The video will be set in a creepy forest or dungeon type setting.

The Script

The first step in making the music video is to come up with a concept and write a script. The script will determine the story that the video will tell, as well as the specific shots and animations that will be needed. Once the script is written, it is time to start planning the actual production of the video.

The Storyboard

The storyboard is a critical part of the music video process, as it is used to map out the action and plan the shots. This helps the team to determine what clay animations need to be created, and how they will fit together.

The storyboard should be created in consultation with the band or artist, as they will need to approve the final product. Once the storyboard is complete, it will be used to create a shot list, which will be used by the animators to plan their work.

The Animatic

An animatic is a storyboard version of your video with the audio track included. To create an animatic, you’ll need to storyboard your video and record a rough version of the audio. Once you have both of these elements, you can put them together in a video editing program and start to get a sense of how your final video will look and sound.

Creating an animatic can be a helpful way to work out any kinks in your story before you start animating, and it can also be a useful tool for pitching your idea to potential collaborators or investors. If you’re not sure how to get started, check out our guide to storyboarding.

The Music Video

Welcome to my odd and dark corner of the internet! This is a music video of my lip syncing clay animations to some dark and heavy metal music. The music is by the band Ghost, and the song is called “Square Hammer”. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it!

The Opening Sequence

The video opens with a close up of a characters mouth as they start to lip sync the lyrics “I am the god of hellfire”. The character is then shown in full view, they are a clay figure that has been brought to life and is dressed in all black. The background is also black with small white stars. As the character continues to sing, more clay figures are brought to life and join in with the singing.

The figures are all different shapes and sizes, some have horns and some have wings. The video then cuts to a scene where the clay figures are playing instruments, they are all in a band together. The video then cuts between scenes of the band playing and the individual members of the band lip syncing to the lyrics.

The song is about being misunderstood and feeling like an outsider, and this is reflected in the clay figures who are all different from each other. The video ends with the band playing together as Sparks fly out of their instruments.

The Middle Sequence

The middle sequence of the video features a collection of various clay animations all lip syncing to the music. There is also a section where it appears as if the clay figures are playing their own instruments.

The Ending Sequence

The video abruptly ends with all the characters falling to the ground and being frozen in place as the world around them shatters. The scene then switches to a close up of the main character’s face as he delivers the final line of the song.

Conclusion

We hope you enjoyed our little video! We had a lot of fun making it and we hope you had as much fun watching it. If you liked it, be sure to share it with your friends so they can enjoy it too.

Thanks for watching!
