To be eligible for consideration in this category, an artist:
– Must have released a full length album consisting of at least five different songs of which at least one must have been released during the Eligibility Year
– Must have released all of his/her music underon one label as a solo artist or duo/group
– For a duo/group, at least 50% of its members must consisted of artists who had not previously been members of any other duo/group that achieved prominence prior to the release of their first commercial recording under the duo/grouplabel
-For eligibility purposes, an artist’s first commercial recording is defined as any standalone single or track or album that:
– Was commercially released in physical or digital format
– Is available for purchase
– Is publicly accessible via streaming services such as Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora Radio, iHeart Radio, Amazon Music Unlimited, TIDAL, Deezer and Google Play Music
Best Song
The best song award is given to the songwriter(s) of the winning song. This award is announced during the live telecast and is given to the songwriter(s) who penned the lyrics and/or music for the song. The best song category has been separated into two genres, country and general, since 2021. This award was first presented in 1967.

Best Male Artist
As the country music world prepares for the 54th Academy of Country Music Awards, one name looms large: Luke Bryan.
