Watch the Country Music Hall of Fame 2021 Ceremony

The 2021 Country Music Hall of Fame Inductees will be celebrated in a virtual ceremony on October 18. The event will be streamed live on the Country Music Hall of Fame’s official website.

Introduction

The Country Music Hall of Fame is a place where the legends of country music are honored and remembered. Every year, a new group of inductees is announced, and their names are added to the rolls of those who have come before.

This year, the ceremony will be held on October 20th, 2021, at 8:00pm EST. You can watch it live on the Country Music Hall of Fame website, or on television through PBS.

The Country Music Hall of Fame

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will present its 2021 Inductees — Jon Pardi, Charlie Pride, and Jimmie Allen — in a televised ceremony on September 16 at 8 pm ET on ABC. The three living inductees will be honored during the Museum’s public program series, Country Music Hall of Fame Concerts. All three artists have been previously honored by the Museum with exhibitions.

The 2021 Ceremony

The Country Music Hall of Fame will broadcast its 2021 Induction Ceremony this fall on ABC, featuring performances and tributes to this year’s honorees: singer-songwriter Mac Davis, fiddler Charlie Daniels, and the late record executive Jerry Bradley. The star-studded event, which was originally supposed to take place in October 2020 but was postponed due to the pandemic, will be taped at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium on September 16 and will air on ABC on Sunday, November 8 at 8|7c.

The three-hour broadcast will feature live performances by Nashville legends like Garth Brooks, Vince Gill, Alabama, Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell, Alan Jackson, George Strait, Kris Kristofferson (with help from Lyle Lovett), and more paying tribute to the Class of 2021. Reba McEntire will serve as host for the evening.

The Inductees

This year’s Country Music Hall of Fame inductees are Brooks & Dunn, Ray Stevens, and Jerry Reed. The three living legends will be celebrated at the 54th annual Country Music Association Awards, airing live from Nashville on Wednesday, November 11th at 8/7c on ABC.

Brooks & Dunn, who collectively amassed 41 No. 1 hits, 10 multi-platinum albums, and numerous awards during their 26-year career, will be inducted in the Modern Era Artist category. The duo of Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn released their debut album in 1991 and quickly achieved mainstream success with such hits as “My Maria,” “Ain’t Nothing ‘Bout You,” and “Only in America.” They are the most awarded duo in country music history and were named the CMA Vocal Duo of the Year a record-setting eight times.

Ray Stevens, a multi-faceted entertainer who has enjoyed success in music, television, and film over the course of his 50-plus year career, will be inducted in the Veterans Era Artist category. A singer, songwriter, musician, comedian, and producer, Stevens is known for such enduring hits as “The Streak” and “Everything Is Beautiful.” He has won five Grammys (including two for his work on The Muppet Show Theme) and was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1980. In 2009 he was awarded the CMA Award for Comedian/Novelty Artist of the Year.

Jerry Reed will posthumously receive the Cliffie Stone Pioneer Award for his contributions to country music as a performer (known for such hits as “When You’re Hot You’re Hot” and “East Bound And Down”), songwriter (“Amos Moses,” “Uneasy Rider”), actor (Smokey And The Bandit), guitarist (he was nicknamed “The Guitar Man”), television personality (he hosted Nashville Now for many years), mentor (he mentored dozens of artists throughout his career), and friend (he was known for his kindness and generosity).

The Performances

The 2021 Country Music Hall of Fame induction ceremony took place on October 25, 2020, at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium. The event was hosted by Brad Paisley and featured live performances by Dierks Bentley, Garth Brooks, Florida Georgia Line, Keith Urban, Lady A, Luke Combs, Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, and more.

The Awards

The Country Music Association will present the 53rd Annual CMA Awards on Wednesday, November 11, at 8|7c on ABC. The awards show, hosted for the 13th time by Reba McEntire, will feature performances by some of the biggest names in country music, as well as the presentation of CMA’s highest honor, the Entertainer of the Year award.
