The bookstore was a source of great comfort for me during my years in graduate school. I would often go there to browse the shelves and find new books to read. But more than just a place to buy books, the bookstore was also a place to listen to music. Seinfeld’s Music, a jazz record store located near the front of the store, was my go-to spot for buying new records. The owner, Jerry Seinfeld, was always playing some great jazz on the turntables and I would often spend hours browsing the racks of records. It was a real paradise for a jazz lover like me.
Sadly, Seinfeld’s Music closed its doors for good in 2009, but the memories of those wonderful times spent in the store will stay with me forever.
