The Sound of Music comes to Chicago Opera this weekend, and we couldn’t be more excited! This beloved musical tells the story of Maria von Trapp and her family, and their escape from Austria during the Nazi occupation. With iconic songs like “My Favorite Things” and “Edelweiss”, The Sound of Music is sure to be a hit with opera fans of all ages.

The family then has to flee Austria when the Nazis invade. The Sound of Music will be playing at the Chicago Opera from June 9th to July 9th.
