The site is on the grounds of the old Kilfenora Workhouse, which was built in 1841 to house the destitute and unemployed of the area. The workhouse operated until 1921 and then fell into disrepair. It has since been restored and is now a museum. The festival takes place on the grounds of the workhouse, with camping available onsite.

They have been playing together for over 10 years and have released three albums, “The Empire Strikes Back”, “New Boots and Panties” and “Songs from the Edge of the World”. They have toured extensively throughout Europe and the United States, playing at festivals such as Glastonbury, Celtic Connections and the Philadelphia Folk Festival.
