The Best Music to Listen to in the Grunge Background- if you’re looking for a great grunge album to put on in the background, look no further!

Nirvana- Come As You Are

Nirvana’s “Come as You Are” is the perfect song to listen to in the grunge background. The song has a mellow and relaxed vibe, but at the same time, the lyrics are angsty and relatable. The song is about not having to pretend to be someone you’re not, and just being yourself. This is something that many people can relate to, and it makes for a great song to listen to when you’re feeling down or angry.

Alice in Chains- Man in the Box

Alice in Chains- Man in the Box

This song is perfect for any grunge background. The lyrics are full of angst and the music is heavy and distorted. This is a classic Alice in Chains song that will never get old.

Pearl Jam- Even Flow

Although grunge music is often considered to be angry and aggressive, there are also many songs that are more mellow and reflective. “Even Flow” by Pearl Jam is a perfect example of this. The song is about homelessness and the struggles that come with it, but it also has a feeling of hope and resilience. If you’re looking for a grunge song that will make you think, this is it.

Soundgarden- Rusty Cage

This song is off of Soundgarden’s fourth studio album, Badmotorfinger (1991). “Rusty Cage” was released as a single in 1992 and peaked at number three on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. The song was included in the soundtrack for the Johnny Depp film, Dead Man (1995), which was directed by Jim Jarmusch.

The song starts with a slow, menacing riff that sets the tone for the rest of the song. The verses are dark and brooding, with lead singer Chris Cornell grunting out the lyrics in a way that sounds more like he’s growling than singing. The chorus is where things get really heavy, with Cornell screaming “I’m going off the rails on a crazy train!” over and over again. This is one of those songs that just makes you want to headbang and shredded guitars.

Stone Temple Pilots- Interstate Love Song

Stone Temple Pilots are one of the most influential music groups of the 1990s. They released their first album, “Core,” in 1992. The album quickly shot to the top of the charts, thanks in part to the success of the single “Sex Type Thing.” “Core” would go on to sell more than eight million copies.

The group’s follow-up album, “Purple,” was released in 1994. It was another huge success, debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 and selling more than six million copies. The album’s lead single, “Interstate Love Song,” was a massive hit, spending 16 weeks at number one on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.

Stone Temple Pilots continued to release successful albums throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. Their most recent album, “Self-Titled,” was released in 2010.
